Grandma’s pecan pie, sweetened with caramelized sugar and baked fresh for you.

She was the sweetest source of comfort and your staunchest ally when it came to trying new things. Her life was full of hard work, love for her family and incredible experiences.  She’s the backbone not only of your family, but of the farm. One of the best parts of visiting grandma’s house?  The freshly baked goodies like homemade pecan pie. What makes pecan pie even better is that 80% to 95% of the pecans grown in the world are grown by farmers in the United States. Like all farmers, pecan farmers are committed to improving the land and growing a safe and healthy product. It takes 7 to 10 years for a pecan tree to produce a full supply of nuts. Once the process starts, the tree can often produce for more than 100 years. Pecans are grown commercially in 15 states in the southern U.S. A handful of pecans (about 19 halves) is packed with fiber, zinc, important vitamins such as E, and other essential  minerals that support strong bones and good digestion, which makes even pecan pie a healthy(ish) choice!
