The perfect fruity, Moscato blend, filled with notes of peaches, pineapple and apple that come together of a sugary vanilla base note. Light floral notes fill the middle.
She’ll pack your lunch with a loving note and then go out and feed cattle with the tractor. She snuggles children and delivers baby pigs with the same strong arms. She’s a source of comfort for a worried farmer, a shoulder to lean on when times are lean and a quick mind to help make the year’s crop cashflow. She celebrates the small victories, mourns the losses and counts her blessings. She’s a 4-H leader and knows that the best memories are made in the barn.
According to the USDA, the share of U.S. farms operated by women nearly tripled over the past three decades, from 5 percent in 1978 to 14 percent by 2007. The USDA describes a family farm as one in which the majority of the business is owned by the farmer and people related to the farmer. A 2014 report shows that family farms operate 90 percent of our nation’s farmland, and account for 85 percent of the country’s agricultural production value.
